BREAKING NEWS: Asari Dokubo Arrested By SSS

After series of deliberations by PDP agents in Abuja on whether or not he should be arrested since he is one of those speaking in favour of President Goodluck Jonathan, the SSS on Thursday finally summoned courage to pick up Niger Delta Militant leader, Asari Dokubo, for "questioning".

Below is what Asari said would happen in Nigeria if Jonathan loses 2015 election:

"In less than one hour, the way we would strike, the world will be shocked. If anybody does anything against Jonathan, we will retaliate. What we will do will shock the whole world. We will cripple the economy of the country not only in the creeks, but also on the nation’s territorial waters, no vessel will be allowed to enter Nigeria’s territorial waters."

Olu Famous had reported how Asari told a national daily in an exclusive interview that Nigeria will burn if by any chance President Jonathan is defeated in 2015, even if the election is free and fair.

With this level of threat to all Nigerians, we are watching how the SSS will handle this situation.

Former Nigerian Olympian, Ambrose Monye (left), was on Wednesday been sentenced to life in prison by a South Africa court for the murder of a 26yrs old woman, Channelle Henning (middle).

Ambrose, who took part in Souelle Olympic in 1988, was said to have killed Channelle as she drove out after dropping her young son at a Montessori Preschool in East Pretoria South Africa on November 8th, 2011.

This is most ridiculous claim I've ever heard since my days of practising journalism in Port Harcourt till date and this goes to confirm that there is a grand conspiracy by some Ogas and Madams at the top to do all in their powers to heat up Rivers State to achieve their selfish agenda. Very unfortunately!

I just learnt that a new twist have been introduced into the case of six guys arrested by the Joint Task Force, JTF, recently for illegal possession of fire arms. The dangerous political thugs were linked to two men who are close to the First Lady, Patience Jonathan.

Unfortunately, the matter has been "dragging" since they were handed over to Rivers State Police...

The latest twist is that the Kind of Ogu, one of the Kalabari towns, King Nicholas Biobele, is now claiming that his town got wind of an alleged plot by a neighbouring community to invade their town. He said the boys (who are not policemen), were then sent to go in search of the other community's arms and retrieve same.

He said those arrested were community vigilante, who recovered the arms that would have been used by one of their neighbouring communities to attack his community.

So, youths are now being sent into another community to search for arms, and the community will be asleep in the process, and the youths will recover the same arms and take them back to their own town?

This is really ridiculous!

Former Varsity Registrar’s Wife Commits Suicide In Edo

Wife of the former registrar of the Ambrose Alli Unversity, Ekpoma, Edo State, Mrs. Kate Edokpayi, was yesterday found dead after committing suicide.
Her husband, Mr. Larry Edokpayi, discovered her body hanging down the ceiling in one of the rooms in their boy’s quarters.
Sources close to the family said frustration over her health challenges might have led her to commit suicide, as she left no suicide note.
According to the sources, she had repeatedly expressed frustration over her inability to get cure for her diabetic condition.
The husband had suspected his wife was kidnapped after a long fruitless search, before he was advised to check the boy’s quarters.
The man, who recently retired from the service of the university, could not believe his eyes when he forced open the door of the boy’s quarters which was bolted from behind. His wife’s body was seen dangling down the ceiling.
Before her tragic death, Mrs Edokpayi was an Assistant Director with the Edo State Ministry of Education.
