2015: I’ll Release Incriminating Documents On Okorocha, Kwankwaso, Others Corrupt Dealings Soon – Clark

Elder statesman and Ijaw national leader, Chief Edwin Clark, has described all those angling to take over President Goodluck Jonathan’s seat in 2015 as corrupt.

He said it was also wrong to accuse the president of not fighting corruption as the menace did not start with his administration.

 

Synagogue Church release official statement via Facebook page on building collapse, insists it was an attack

The Synagogue Church of all Nations has released an official statement via their Facebook page on the building collapse within their premises on Friday September 12th which has so far claimed over 77 lives. They say it was an attack on the church and in particular, their leader, T.B Joshua and have vowed to reveal the persons behind it. (they shared this pic purportedly showing an aircraft close to the building minutes before the building collapse).

PDP NEC Picks Jonathan As Sole Presidential Candidate For 2015

Members of the National Executive Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party have adopted President Goodluck Jonathan as the party’s sole presidential candidate for the 2015 election.

This decision was taken few minutes ago at the ongoing meeting of the body which is being held at the party’s national headquarters, Abuja on Thursday.

Members of the NEC took the decision after various organs of the party said that they had endorsed the President during their meetings which they said were held on Wednesday.

National Chairman of the party, Adamu Mua’zu led other members of the party’s National Working Committee to the meeting.

President Jonathan, his deputy, Namadi Sambo; Senate President, David Mark; his deputy, Ike Ekweremadu and the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Emeka Ihedioha were among those present at the meeting.

It was also attended by majority of the governors, including the Governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido.

The governor is believed to be nursing presidential ambition.

Boko Haram Invades Bama, Meets Resistance From Nigerian Troops

Boko Haram militants have invaded Bama, the second largest city in Borno state with the aim of taking over the town, but residents told
Several civilians including the Emir of Bama have already fled to the state capital Maiduguri to avoid being caught in the crossfire. Eyewitnesses said that the sect arrived the vicinity of Bama early today and began firing mortars, RPGs and hurling grenades into the city.

The battle was still raging as at the time of publishing this report. Bama is a strategic city with over 500,000 inhabitants. If the sect captures Bama with all the military hardware in the city, then it just days away from capturing Maiduguri which less than 40 miles from Bama.

Chelsea’s former striker Demba Ba has launched a scathing attack to his former boss, suggesting the Portuguese is more concerned about reputation than statistics.
