Osun PDP Crisis Deepens As Six Chieftains Are Expelled Over Alleged Anti-Party Activities

Ahead of the August 9 governorship election in Osun State, the crisis rocking the state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) seems far from over as six chieftains have been expelled from the party.

A statement by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Bola Ajao yesterday, listed the affected party members as the Deputy Chairman of the party, Bashiru Salaam, former Secretary, Mr. Yinka Adeojo, Secretary, Maj. Raphel Towobola (rtd.), Alhaji Teslim Igbalaye, Alhaji Rasaq Oyetunji and Rasaq Oyelami.

A 36-year-old Florida woman has been sentenced to prison after admitting she had s*x with her friend’s 12-year-old son.

Joy McCall, who has children the same age as the victim, was sentenced Tuesday to 10 years in prison, with 134 days credit for time served, according to the Ocala Star Banner. She pleaded guilty to two counts of lewd and lascivious battery on a child.

I’m Not Bothered By Impeachment Threat, Says Al-Makura

Embattled Governor of Nasarawa State, Tanko Al-Makura, has shaken off the impeachment threat by the House of Assembly, saying he has not committed any constitutional breach to warrant his removal.

20 out of the 24-member state assembly had on Monday signed the impeachment notice against the governor, citing gross misconduct and violation of the Nigerian constitution. The clerk has been directed by the House to serve Al-Makura with the notice.

The governor, who spoke through the state commissioner for information, Hon. Hamza Elayo, said: “The governor is not bothered about this latest move. He is not shaking because he has not breached the 1999 Constitution (as amended).
“We are yet to receive any notice and, until we get it, we react appropriately. Please note that the governor is serving the state to the satisfaction of the people and there is no cause for alarm”, he said

After weeks of speculation, former governor of Borno State, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, on Monday in Maiduguri, the state capital, confirmed that he was defecting from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

The ex-governor, who arrived in Maiduguri alongside several members of the National Assembly and was received at the airport at about 2 p.m. by a mammoth crowd of supporters from both the PDP and ruling APC.

These days, many ladies in their late 20s and early 30s in churches are all out praying for "a miracle husband" while the men who look ready are praying for "a miracle job".

Some of those men who have everything it takes to have more than one wife are renting houses for girlfriends in secret locations, sleeping with them, and they will still come to church and pretend to be holy, since no one in the church knows what they are doing secretly. Who is fooling who?

If a man marries two wives legitimately and pay their bride price to their families, there is no need to hide. But if you keep a secret girlfriend as a married man, you are committing adultery according to what the Bible say...

Now the crux of the matter is: these men don't know if their Pastors will approve of them having another wife. So, the earlier our Pastors address this issue CLEARLY, the sooner Christian men will stop adultery.

Once again, go to churches and you will see more single ladies than single guys. Who will marry those ladies?
